The Meze Audio Elite features newly designed custom drivers made by Rinaro Isodynamics. The new driver builds on the pioneering technology of the flagship MZ3 driver found in the Empyrean headphone. The innovative Isodynamic Hybrid Array technology delivers superior acoustic performance and has ultra-low distortion. Innovative low mass acoustic diaphragm with the ultra-thin semi-crystalline film has opened the doors to even higher resolution and accuracy of the sound reproduction, setting a new benchmark in headphone design.

Neodymium magnets are arranged into a hybrid array setup on both the sides of the ultralight diaphragm. The magnets placed creates an efficient Isodynamic magnetic field ensuring uniform activation across the entire surface. The reinforced polymer housing is designed to withstand the demanding load generated by the Hybrid Magnet Array.

Meze Audio Elite employs an innovative headband design that reduces the amount of pressure on your head. The Elite features a patent-pending suspension wings support system that increases the contact of the headband to your head. The headband is made of carbon fibre material with leather headrests added to the frame for an ultra-light feel. The chassis is sculpted from one piece of CNC aluminium featuring a highly complex geometrical pattern to look gorgeous as well as control the airflow between the chassis and driver. This gives you natural transparency in the sound and provides a comfortable listening experience.

Maze Audio Elite come equipped with Rinaro Parus low mass acoustic diaphragm built on an ultra-thin biaxially oriented semi-crystalline polymer film. The polymer is produced with bespoke sequential biaxial lengthening technology, a process that involves stretching the polymer in transverse directions at elevated temperatures to improve structural performance. The Meze Elite headphones also come with two uniquely shaped earpads developed by Rinaro to allow for personal calibration of the sound signature. Of the two included earpads, the Alcantara is a well known 30mm deep earpad and the leather + Alcantara hybrid ear cushions are a new addition to our earpad family, perfectly balances the qualities of Alcantara and leather into a single design.

The Elite headphones combine power output delivered using a magnet array design, combined with a switchback and spiral voice coils. This unique combination generates an increased exposure of direct sound wave frequencies over the 112kHz range, improving imaging and localization by reducing the impact of shortwave time delays caused by diffused field reflections. The switchback coil is more efficient at reproducing lower frequencies and is positioned in the upper part of the driver and the spiral coil is more efficient at reproducing middle-high frequencies and is positioned directly over the ear canal, enabling more direct sound waves to enter the ear without any time delays.

All drivers create a magnetic field when used. Meze Audio comes up with an innovative design feature developed by Rinaro – the Isomagnetic earpad attachment utilises the demagnetizing field generated by the driver to hold the earpad in place whilst redirecting the magnetic field back into the driver and improving driver efficiency. The Elite features special ferromagnetic ear pads that reduce the magnetic field while the ferromagnetic plates channel 12% of the magnetic field back into the driver improving its efficiency. It deflects an additional 95% of stray fields away from the head. An Isomagnetic® ear cup uses this magnetic field to hold the earcups in place.
