Lotoo introduces the PAW Gold Touch portable Hi-Fi audio player. The device has been engineered with a multi-processor architecture to handle the various functions of the DAP. Lotoo PAW Gold Touch features the Ingenic x1000 MIPS processor for the wireless subsystem, the Freescale i.MX6 processor for the digital subsystem and the ADI Blackfin BF7XX DSP for the audio subsystem. These processors are used so that each component has its standalone processor and power supply for better audio transmission.

The engineering team at Lotoo have gone through extensive research and innovations to bring you the PAW Gold Touch audio player. The PAW Gold Touch comes embedded with the latest in audio technology and features AKM’s flagship DAC, the AKM4497EQ which realises true 768kHz PCM and DSD512 decoding as its DAC and the AKM4137EQ SRC chip which not only does sampling rate conversion but also from PCM to DSD and vice versa. The PAW Gold Touch also adopted the use of an FPGA in its audio subsystem to handle the transmission of signals between the DSP, DAC and clock chips. Theoretically, this will ensure the highest sound quality with minimum distortion.

The Lotoo PAW Gold Touch comes with Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) support, enabling you to hear music exactly as recorded. Audio players with MQA support offer an output that has every detail intact. MQA authentication is a badge of approval and guarantee of players’ master-quality audio output. The device can perform 16x decoding of MQA files to deliver outstanding sound quality. To further enhance the signal path, the Lotoo PAW Gold Touch is equipped with a 4.4mm balanced output along with a 3.5mm single-ended output with an output capacity of 500mW/per channel. The Lotoo PAW Gold Touch uses an independent system with a dual PLL clock system. Dual AKM8142 chips supply correct timebase signals to music data, reducing jitter, increasing the accuracy of digital music reproduction and reducing the effect of phase noise on sound quality. This not only ensures that the audio signal has low distortion but also ensures a very low background music noise. The PAW Gold Touch also features the Type-C USB 3.1 connector and supports USB DAC functions. The device offers true asynchronous USB DAC functions on both Windows and Mac with support for PMEQ & ATE in USB DAC mode.

Lotoo with its new flagship model, the PAW Gold Touch, aims to create a new portable reference listening experience for users. To make this possible the PAW Gold Touch is loaded with Bluetooth 4.2, with support for Bi-directional communication and capable of LDAC quality transmission of up to 96KHz /24bit at 990kbps maximum sample rate. The Lotoo PAW Gold Touch also features the high-speed Type-C USB 3.1 connector with speeds up to 10Gbps and an SD card slot capable of supporting up to 2TB UHS-II SD Card, allowing a maximum tried and tested transfer speed of 300M/s.

The chassis for the Lotoo PAW Gold Touch is CNC crafted, from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with the gold-plated volume knob crafted using the same methodology as luxury watches. This method offers an ultra-durable frame to house all the components inside and reduces the weight of the device to just 275gms. The PAW Gold Touch comes with a 3.77″ IPS GFF Retina LCD screen, featuring Corning’s fifth-generation gorilla glass finished with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating and AF’s oleophobic coating which caters for anti-fingerprint purposes. The screen is designed with 8 layers of HDI PCB resulting in less distortion overall. The screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is capable of touch input and displaying essential information to offer a clean and sharp user-interface design.
