The first of its kind, full-fledged Air Motion Transformer (AMT) headphones are here. Geared particularly towards audiophiles and professional recording artists around the world, the HEDDphone features AMT which is an electrodynamic transducer that enables faster airflow compared to ordinary systems.
VVT® DIAPHRAGM THAT’S BETTER THAN YOUR AVERAGE DIAPHRAGM
The HEDDphone uses the patent-pending VVT® diaphragm. It extends the AMT principle to a linear full-range headphone transducer using the latest diaphragm geometry. This upgraded folded diaphragm lets air out four times faster and allows the playback of even the little nuances in the audio recording.

The HEDDphone presents a fourth transducer technology that brings high levels of dynamic capabilities and advanced sonic clarity through the AMT principle to high-end headphones. It is designed to deliver excellent performance through precise, unaltered and impactful sound reproduction.
30+ YEARS OF HEDDPHONE INNOVATION
It all began 30 years ago with HEDD Audio CEO and Chief Engineer Klaus Heinz designing the first AMT tweeter that was inspired by Oskar Heil’s original Air Motion Transformer invention. Since then, it has seen a lot of sonic advancements in its revised versions over the years. The latest (2019) AMT version can be heard in HEDD Audio´s ONE studio monitor line.
