Soft earpads and adjustable, sliding, earpieces together with a single sided connecting cable ensure listening comfort during extended periods of use. Durability of the DT 880 Pro is unquestionable thanks to its spring steel headband. They are built to withstand the long hours at the studio and tantrums on the stage.

The semi-open back design allows the studio headphones to create natural sounding music.The diaphragm has been made extremely light for better impulse performance. An extremely strong neodymium magnet system offers the DT 8800 highly detailed sound reproduction quality, and is mechanically very robust. This increased efficiency also leaves the DT 880 with greater power reserves for succinct linear response that is especially suited for high-achieving audio applications where appropriate sonic reproduction is of utmost importance, and dedicated equipment is available such as a headphone amplifier.

The DT 880’s semi-open, over-the-ear design offers slightly increased sound isolation and reduced noise leakage, while retaining the high fidelity normally associated with open-back studio headphones. The semi open back also lets the studio headphones breathe which make the sound reproduced natural sounding and enhance it to a great extent.
