DESCRIPTION

NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) modules from the TOPPING A90 is used in the all-new TOPPING A50s as well. These nested-composite amplifier modules extend the bandwidth at high gain, increase slew rates, and reduce distortion. Experience the best DC and AC performance with the Voltage Current hybrid feedback architecture and UHGF (Ultra High Gain Feedback). The A50s offers a high output current that can drive even low impedance headphones with absolute ease. With noise as low as 0.3uV, the dynamic range is as high as 144dB that too with no audible noise. You can use the TOPPING A50s with speakers too.

The A50s comes with a meticulously crafted aluminium case. Its outer casing consists of an aluminium brick which is flawlessly designed with CNC precision machining. The power supply usually produces a lot of heat and to get rid of it, the outer casing comes with a thermal conductive column. This column effectively dissipates heat from the power supply and the OP-AMP.

When both channels of the TOPPING A50s are driven, it has a high voltage swing of 42Vp-p and 3500 mW of power per channel. The output impedance stays below 0.10 ohms. You can drive power-hungry headphones with different impedance using the A50s. Even though you get only a single-ended input with the TOPPING A50s, it has a fully balanced amp circuit. This allows you to use the A50s to drive single-ended headphones through a 6.35 mm output and balanced headphones with a 4.4mm balanced output.

Engineered with 2-step gain settings, the TOPPING A50s offers 0dB/6dB using the single-ended output and 6dB/12dB using the balanced output. This wide range of gain settings help you to pair the TOPPING A50s with almost all types of headphones. You can use the 50s with power-hungry over-ear headphones as well as with the most sensitive in-ear monitors.

The best part of NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) modules is that they don’t just help the A50s to drive the headphones but also to act as a preamp while delivering the same level of ultra-high performance. When you are using the A50s as a preamp, the output impedance remains as low as 20 Ohms enabling the A50s to be paired with various devices.

When not connected to the headphones, the TOPPING A50s works in the preamp mode and the RCA on the back panel acts as the output for the amplified signal. The A50s automatically switches to headphone amp mode when you connect it to headphones through 6.35mm output or the 4.4mm output. Under the headphone amp mode, the 6.35mm and the 4.4mm are the output for signals.
