These are amongst my all time favorites, they shine quite ‘bright’ on the sound quality front. Highly suited for mixing, they are one of the best studio headphones on the market at the price they retail at.

The DT 990 Pro are circumaural headphones that house extremely strong neodymium magnet systems offering highly detailed sound reproduction quality. These open-back studio headphones are a reliable tool for professionals for mixing, mastering and recording purposes. The wide stereo image and three-dimensional sound reproduction make the beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones a loyal companion for producers. Outstanding tonal depth ensures that even small changes in the positioning of the acoustic source can be perceived while mixing.

The open back design allows the headphones to breathe, which creates beautiful natural sounding music that you are bound to enjoy. These have a special diffuse-field design, that make these quality products apt for studio usage.The diaphragm has been made extremely light for better impulse performance. Also the high quality design only helps in better sonic experience delivering a surreal soundstage experience and natural sound.

TThe DT 990 Pro features an open-back circumaural over-the-ear design for rich audio performance that’s designed for critical listening and a more natural sound stage. This increased efficiency also leaves the DT 990 Pro with greater power reserves for a succinct linear response that is especially suited for high-achieving audio applications where appropriate sonic reproduction is of paramount importance, and dedicated equipment is available such as a headphone amplifier.

Beyerdynamic developed The DT series in order to deliver optimal sound in a wide variety of applications and situations.They’re dynamic with their headphone designs well suited for a broad range of environments.

The headband has been made with solid spring steel that makes these headphones durable and adds to their comfort feature since they come with two pairs of earpads: Padded faux leather and Velour. The 990 Pro’s Soft earpads and adjustable, sliding, earpieces together with a single-sided connecting cable ensure listening comfort during extended periods of use.
