The Austrian Audio Hi-X50 headphones feature a supra-aural closed-back design. This design meets the demands of high-resolution audio production. The sound is wide with a frequency response of 5Hz to 28kHz. The On-Ear design provides a secure fit and is comfortable for longer listening sessions.
HIGH EXCURSION TECHNOLOGY FEATURING 44MM DRIVERS AND RING MAGNET SYSTEM
The Hi-Xcursion (High Excursion) technology embedded in the Hi-X50 headphones is the key to their astonishing sound. These headphones feature a 44mm driver and a ring magnet system. This design is implemented for improved airflow and includes the strongest magnetic field in its class. The ring magnet, combined with a copper-clad aluminium voice coil, reduces the weight of the membrane and the voice coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster, providing a more responsive impulse reaction. Measurements and listening tests have shown that a 44mm driver is the optimum size for this design. It ensures professional performance in the Hi-X, moves a lot of air, and eliminates ‘wobbling’ of the diaphragm. This is akin to damping the driver mass. This is where our membrane really shows results: it is ultra-stiff while still reducing unwanted resonance. This also reduces THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) considerably.
